Sara Movahedi — Founder

Data scientist, engineer, builder.

I have fourteen years of professional experience in data science and research, with applied AI engineering as my focus in recent years.

Before founding Bandorini, I spent seven and a half years at Rijk Zwaan and four years at Tropic Biosciences, building data and research pipelines to support genomics research, and contributing to six peer-reviewed publications and five patents. I hold a Master's degree in Computer Science from Sharif University of Technology and a PhD in Bioinformatics from Ghent University.

Bandorini Market App started as a problem I faced directly. As an active trader of almost ten years, I needed a way to analyse thousands of equities that no individual could realistically manage by hand. I designed, built, and deployed the platform on my own, from initial concept to a live product with paying subscribers, using AI-assisted development tools throughout. It remains live today, on an automated pipeline built to detect and recover from problems fast.

This experience — building and operating a production AI system end to end — was the starting point for Bandorini Consultancy itself. My goal with every client is the same: to deliver systems that have been tested and proven, not theoretical proposals.

Alongside my own work, I have built a contract-based network of specialists across a range of fields and areas of expertise, which allows me to bring the right skills to each client's industry and specific needs.

My aim is to make applied AI accessible to organisations of any size or sector, including those without large in-house technology teams. I believe AI can be deployed responsibly and affordably to deliver real, measurable value to any business — and I built my own career, and Bandorini itself, on that belief.
